Tidal Reliquary captures the sea at the instant movement becomes form.
Hand-formed in porcelain, the vessel rises into an expansive, undulating rim—each fold shaped individually to create the impression of water lifting, curling and breaking in motion. Layers of translucent ocean blues, soft aqua and weathered ivory flow vertically through the porcelain, gathering into deeper, mineral-like pools within the interior.
The irregular edge is intentionally organic, allowing areas of exposed porcelain and subtle warmth to trace the perimeter like a shoreline.
No two pieces of this form can ever be replicated exactly. The movement of the porcelain, placement of each fold, and interaction of the layered glazes make Tidal Reliquary an entirely singular work.
Created as a sculptural object rather than a traditional vessel, it is equally striking viewed from above—where the interior becomes almost geological—or at eye level, where the porcelain rises and falls like a suspended tide.
