Expansive and fluid, Shorebreak captures the meeting place between water and land in porcelain. Layers of sea glass blue, turquoise, soft aqua and sandy neutral flow across the surface, while exposed textural areas emerge like stretches of shoreline between moving tides.
The dramatically ruffled perimeter is individually formed by hand, giving the 26-inch piece an irregular, wave-like silhouette. Subtle variations in the layered glaze create movement across the broad surface, shifting from translucent watery blues to soft, mineral-like textures.
At more than two feet across, Shorebreak is designed to make an impact—beautiful displayed on a dining table, console, large coffee table or pedestal as a sculptural centerpiece.
No two pieces can be exactly replicated; the movement of the porcelain and interaction of the glazes make this piece entirely its own.
