“Held Quiet” from the Tidal Series is a sculptural porcelain form inspired by the pause between waves—the soft collapse, the breath before the next movement. Each curve is shaped by hand, allowing the clay to fold and settle naturally, creating a piece that feels both grounded and fluid.
This piece exists between function and art. While it can be displayed as a small vessel, it is not intended to hold water. Instead, it serves as a quiet focal point—an object that invites pause.
Each layer of glaze is applied by hand, building depth, movement, and subtle variation. No two will ever be exactly alike.
